Day 1: Humantay Lake Tour
Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your
hotel to head the northwest of Cusco. This ride will
take about three hours to reach the village of
Soraypampa.
Then, we'll start our hike. The first half hour will
remain flat as we pass some camps all along the road.
Next, our challenge will begin hiking up a rocky
sidehill that will become narrower as we ascent.
Our hike will take about 2 hours before reaching the
top. Once in the lake, we'll have some time to take
photos, but also we'll thank the the Apus to
let us be safe during this amazing experience.
Finally, we will descend back to Soraypampa where will
enjoy a great lunch. Next, we'll return to Cusco.

What's the weather like in Cusco?
In the Andes, temperature changes too much between night and day. During the rainy season (November-March) we have cloudy days with rain at night. On the other hand, during the dry season (May-September) you can expect very cold nights and warm sunny days.
What should I bring for my trip to the Lake Humantay?
Make sure to bring proper clothing. We suggest sunglasses, a sun hat, a polar, trekking pole, gloves, and comfortable shoes for walking. If coming during the rainy season, a raincoat is highly recommended.

We recommend taking tour for children and families since it's easy and safe. However, make sure to be fully acclimatized (at least 3 days in Cusco).
