Day 1: Maras Moray Tour

Early in the morning, we’ll begin our tour heading to the northwest of the city. All along our path, we’ll see incredible landscapes such as mountains, peaks, and the plain of Maras where many of the products we consume in Cusco, come from.
The first archeological site to visit will be Moray, which was an important agricultural laboratory; their terraces measuring up to 150 meters deep represent the advanced knowledge to adapt the crops at the time.
Later we’ll continue our visit to the village of Maras where we can see an excellent colonial architecture such as the church of San Francisco.
We’ll finalize our visit by visiting the famous site of Salinas of Maras, which is a salt mine where locals still get the salt that ancient Incas used to extract, we estimate that there are around 3000 salt wells.
Finally we'll get back to the hotel in the afternoon.
